AFRICAN VILLAGE ARTS FESTIVAL SCORES BIG!

On Saturday August 18, 2007, the Urban Cultural Arts Foundation held its first ever arts festival
at the Old Central Community House on Bryden Road, right across the street from our William H. Thomas Gallery.

Much more than a summer time art and craft show, the African Village Arts Festival was just day two of our weekend long celebration of African and African American art and culture. The Festival offered an unique and exciting cultural experience – literally bringing art and the community together.

The Festival featured:

Live Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Children’s Gallery & Activities, Ethnic Dining, Solar Exhibitions, Traditional African Ceremonies, Vendor Marketplace …and more!
